It is possible to live in harmony with a child with autism. It is all about knowing what to do and how to address the condition of your child.
- Your child is special. See your child’s hidden gifts, even if they are blocked by lots of confusion and difficulties. Your child’s condition doesn’t him or her. Find their strengths and develop them.
- Once you know what you can and cannot control, you are a step ahead. You need to create a supportive and nourishing environment for your child to grow and learn.
- Join your child in his journey. Look for the hidden reasons behind what your child does, especially when it is hardest to imagine any. Do not immediately dismiss it. Learn to decode your child’s messages, and communicate in ways he or she can understand.
