Know The Four C’s Of Diamonds

They say that diamonds are a girl’s bestfriend and there is truth behind this statement. It is hard for any girl to say no to a sparkling diamond especially if it encrusted in an engagement ring. When selecting a diamond, take into consideration the four C’s.

  • Cut – This refers to the angles and proportions of the diamond, not its actual shape. How can you tell if a diamond is well cut? It should reflect light from one facet to another and projects the light through the top of the stone.
  • Color – Diamonds actually come in different colors. It ranges from colorless to light yellow with the truly colorless diamonds being the rarest and most expensive. But what it all comes down to is just preference.
  • Clarity – When a diamond has fewer imperfections and appears clear, the more expensive it would be. Expect a brilliant diamond to cost a lot.
  • Carat weight – This refers to the weight of the diamond. If the diamond is heavier, the more you’re going to pay for it.
